Gorgeous Rambutans!

Enjoy some basic things today - rambutans peeling!

As usual, me and mum laughed at the 'orang putih' for calling rambutans as "That hairy red ball of a fruit!". Very asian jokes at its best :)

My nephew and niece several years back, who came back to Malaysia for a holiday visit were shocked with every little thing - and rambutans caught their very interest. Both giggles and kept throwing the rambutans at each other, and truly loved the sweet taste of it. They can be so cute when they are not being a monster!

Anyway, did my best to peel of one and a half bag of rambutans. It took me an hour while leaving some for the maid, and nip my fingers in their process of cutting into the skin with a knife for a speedier process.

Simple task makes me happy :)

Two busy-doggies running around me while I'm at it :)
Getting started!
The finish work!

Looks very yummy, right! But my mum commented that it looked more like baby (or quail) eggs than rambutans, so I have to do a 'somewhat' professional shot at it. Haha!

"Professional Shot" - Which speaks and shows very clearly
that it is rambutans, not quail eggs!
The little 'nip' on the middle finger ~
Cute Whiskey with her puppy's eyes <3

Kepochi Maya - this baby is almost blind in both eyes :(

Learning to live a different life

I know many concerned friends aren't too happy with me 'wasting' my time away in working from home - yet, I have learned to enjoy the simple pleasure of enjoying time with family and myself, away from the rat race. Usually people will reach the point of life, where they realized life is more than all that - I think I've reached this conclusion way earlier than many of my peers. Which ain't that great at times - cos I'm bored to death. So I kept finding ways to keep myself busy - such as finding more means to bring more dough into my bank account, paying bills, and such. Certainly, it can be pretty entertaining at times :)

With the current situation in Malaysia, where everything is finding its way to hike up - my way of living ain't easy, that's for sure. So, lots of planning on income and expenses are coming into play. Working my way to understand handmade crafts and such - sewing, design, creativity... yet ideas seems greater in what I have in my mind that what I sees as the last effort. LOL.

To be honest, I did went for interviews. Unfortunately, none interest me much - mainly because potential amount I'll be earning with these jobs [ salary - (petrol, toll, food expenses) ] ain't that much of a difference from what I am currently doing. So for the amount of time needed to slave myself, doesn't seems to make much sense - at least to me. So I'll have to push harder! Seems like I'll have to push more on giving extra classes than online business now, because the cost will rise further on my side as recent hikes are certainly taking a toll on my earnings. Because of all these, I'm taking serious consideration to work in the UK. And the sudden thought of saving to own a farm in New Zealand sounds very attractive. It will be interesting to see me handling farm animals. Haha!

PosMalaysia's inefficiency

Here I am again, ranting bout the same old thing. Again. Yet the funny part is, despite complaints and suggestions given, nothing has been done to improve. Is this really how any national company should operate in this country?

It is interesting to note that a national delivery company is doing tonnes of other things - payment for utilities bills, assessments and such - and is currently offering even more services or products for sale in its outlets. Yet, it can't even accomplish service efficiency in its core product/service - which is national delivery.

Then again, perhaps this is only a problem faced by small town people of RAWANG. I have heard from friends that in their locations such as Subang or Petaling, the outlets provide a separate counter to handle deliveries - this work best mainly because customers who just want to drop a quick parcels will not be stuck with others who are queuing up to pay their bills. This strategy make much more sense as focus are given to their core product/service. And of course, when there's no customer wanting delivery, the staffs can easily switch back to work on those bills.

Oh, since now I'm on the others or extra services - it is amusing to see how often the system breaks down which causes furious customers who either waiting in line, or customers who faced the same "System Down" the day before - shoots out burning fire breaths! Sometimes I take pity with the staffs, for their are not to be blamed for system failure and such. On other occasions I will be part of the pissed-off group, due to rude staffs and their extremely slow work attitude.

As PosMalaysia Rawang has just recently moved into AEON Rawang last month, it is understandable things can be a little messy. But surely, this move is not very sudden? I was told that the reason for the move is because the last location in a shop is getting very crowded and mainly they want to employ more staffs to deal with the crowd. Yet after a month of opening in AEON, no new staff has been employed - meaning to say the time is too short to hire? Like seriously?

Perhaps I should really take a fellow friend's suggestion into action. Open a booth outside PosMalaysia - service for sale is online bill payment with just RM2 charge. Surely I can easily make a hundred a day. All I need is - a laptop, internet connection and a printer.

Return of the Boom-Boom-Pow!

Actually, with that translated - It actually meant return of the crazy ass - ME!

Not much of a return. Early morning I know for sure what I wanted to talk about. As the day wears on and with me running around the house and doing works online, I suddenly "forgets".

Is it sign of old age? I hope not. I wish not. Hopefully it's just a matter of having "prawn brain". *cries*

It is now year-end, and like many, worries and issues are popping up more than those that you can actually do something about such as
- Crimes on the rise
- New GST introduced
- Petrol hike
- Electric hike
- Sugar hike
- Everyday food and product usage PRICE hike

I was told never to worry on things we can't do anything about. Well, okay. So I'll worry on money management? I've went for some interviews (it's there's a good offer, I'm the type to find out more) only to reject and get rejected on a few. Mostly want me to "slave" on it. It seems that companies these days always put such clause - "May need to work on Saturday or Sunday, or stay after work-hours" which I find ridiculous. You will hear managers telling you "Never bring your personal problems to work" but it seems okay to bring work home though.

Which is why I still prefer working for myself (it can be pretty stressful) but I am able to place myself on time-off when necessary. At the end of the day, it is a matter of priorities. I choose LIFE over money. I just need enough, not too much. I've seen some friends having the time of their lives travelling only to be in depression when back to work. You get what you give. In my case, I get to breathe.
